Students often require quick and accurate answers to academic questions, but searching across multiple websites, textbooks, and learning platforms consumes valuable study time. This paper presents an AI-Powered Student Assistance Chatbot, a web-based application designed to provide instant academic support through natural language conversations. The proposed system integrates the Google Gen AI SDK with the Gemini 2.5 Flash model to understand user queries and generate accurate, context-aware responses in real time. Unlike conventional rule-based chatbots, the system responds intelligently without relying solely on predefined rules or static question-answer repositories. The application is developed using Python and the Flask framework for backend processing, while HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are used to create a responsive and user-friendly interface. A secure login mechanism, interactive dashboard, chatbot interface, and academic resources module enhance usability and accessibility. Additionally, a predefined FAQ module provides immediate responses to common questions, reducing unnecessary AI requests and improving efficiency. The proposed solution demonstrates how generative AI can enhance educational support by delivering fast, reliable, and interactive academic assistance while improving students' overall learning experience.
